Before it ever reaches you
A plant’s health is mostly decided before it ships. Here’s how we try to get that part right.

We buy from Pacific Northwest growers
Most of what's on our shelves comes from growers within a few hours of Seattle, which means less time sitting in a shipping box before it ever reaches us.

Every new arrival sits in quarantine for two weeks
New plants go into a separate room before they're allowed anywhere near the rest of the shop, so a hitchhiking pest doesn't become everyone's problem.

We ship what we'd bring home ourselves
Nothing goes out the door with yellowing leaves or a wobbly stem, guarantee or not — we'd rather hold a plant back a week than ship one we wouldn't want.
Shipping and our guarantee
Shipping
We ship live plants Tuesday through Thursday only, so nothing sits in a warehouse over a weekend. Boxes are insulated and include a heat or cold pack when the forecast calls for it. We currently ship within the continental US; local Seattle orders can choose in-store pickup at checkout.
Our 30-day guarantee
If a plant arrives damaged, or doesn’t make it in its first 30 days despite reasonable care, we’ll replace it or refund you. Just send us a photo — no interrogation about your watering habits.
