Golden Pothos
Pothos is the plant we recommend when someone says "I want vines trailing off a shelf but I don't want to think about it." It tolerates almost any light except deep shade, roots in water if you want to propagate cuttings for friends, and will tell you exactly when it's thirsty — the leaves go slightly soft and perk right back up after a drink.
Care at a glance
Water when leaves feel slightly soft, about weekly. Toxic if chewed — trailing vines are tempting to cats, so hang it out of reach.
